The statistics regarding teachers who did not return to their positions is, in my opinion, alarming—and it raises questions. Why are these teachers leaving the field? These are individuals who spent money obtaining an education in their field, more money getting certification, all most likely with a certain passion for their career. After all, it takes a special kind of person to teach. What could drive such an individual away from the very position they've worked so hard to be in?
